- The Hotel was completed in December 1952, the 16 Story Tower wasnt added until 1967.
- The Sands Hotel & Casino was one of Las Vegas' most legandary hotels. The Hotel was the filming place for the 1960 Movie Ocean's Eleven. Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Tommy Sands, Nat King Cole and Count Basie were among those who recorded live albums at the Sands.
- The hotel and casino was imploded at 2:06AM November 06, 1996 to make way for the Venetian.
