• Originally the Mirage Las Vegas, the first mega-resort to open in Las Vegas Strip. It inspired a slew of mega-resorts on the Las Vegas Strip over the following years.
• The project cost $630 million to construct and was the most expensive resort ever built at the time of completion.
• The property closed in 2024 and will reopen as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas in 2027 with a new glass facade to match the new Guitar Tower being constructed.
• The Mirage originally featured a Polynesan themed island with ferns, palm trees, and a volcano that erupted every 15 minutes nightly in front of the resort. These established gardens were demolished in 2024 to make way for the Guitar Tower.
