Description Constructed in 1885 by local industrialist Alexander "Boss" Gibson to produce cotton textiles. Gibson turned the small town into an industrial revolution showcase by expanding and rebuilding local lumber mills, building his own rail lines to spur trade, investing in shipping interests, and worker's accomodations.
The mill eventually changed ownership numerous times over the following decades and finally closed it's doors in 1975 as a delapitated relic from a bygone age.
In 1973 the town of Marysville amalgamated with the City of Fredericton and was eventually recondtioned from the inside out into modern office space for the Provincial Government.
