Facts
- Gothic features include ornamental buttresses, tall corner towers and carved stone, while Romanesque elements include round arch windows and tower openings. The gables appear late Renaissance or Baroque in character.
- The exterior is of "yellow-bluff" West Mountain sandstone, a common building material in Scranton.
- The Lackawanna County Courthouse was designed in a Victorian Eclectic style, combining elements of Gothic, Romanesque, and Renaissance architecture.
