UEFA Stadium Category: 4 (highest of four categories)

Home team: Sporting CP

The stadium hosted the 2005 UEFA Cup final. It is expected to be one of the venues for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Besides being the home ground of Sporting, it also occasionally hosts home games of the Portuguese National Football Team (Seleção Portuguesa de Futebol).

It was expanded in 2025, from approximately 50,000 seats to its current capacity of 52,095.

The Alvaláxia shopping complex is connected to the stadium.

The current stadium was built right next to the site of the old Estádio de Alvalade, which once had an official capacity of 75,000.

The heights shown above correspond to measurements from the pitch/field to the top of the roof and to the highest point of the four masts.
