Description
Early Gothic church built between 1240 and 1270 for a monastery, which was dissolved in 1526/27. The church got in 1506 a tower with a height of nearly 100 metres.
In 1783 the height of this tower was reduced, possibly as result of a lightning strike.
In 1869 the church tower was demolished completely and a new church tower was built, which was completed in 1871. In 1957/58 this tower got its actual pinnacle.
