Description
In 1996 a fire severely damaged the structure, exposing asbestos used in the original construction of the building. Due to health concerns, the building was deemed unusable and destroyed, to make way for a new structure at the same site. The building was imploded in 1998 and construction on the new, modern, Commonwealth Keystone Building started soon after.
