Description
Chimney of a former metal cast factory with an original height of 108 metres. At the beginning of the 1970ies its height was reduced to 102.5 metres as its pinnacle was damaged by corrosion caused by the fumes.
After the closure of the factory, to which it belonged, at the beginning of the 1990ies, it got useless. As it was however considered as a monument, it remained standing at first. However its structural state got more and more worse and so it was decided in July 2009 to demolish it.
On October 28th, 2009 it was demolished using 15 kg „Supergel 30“ explosive.
