Architect: Hitoshi Watanabe
Replaced the old Hattori Clock Tower that stood here between 1894 and 1921.
Hattori was to become Seiko watches, from which Wako Co. split in 1947.
The building is seen being destroyed in the original Godzilla movie (1954).
