Description Eastern terminus of a single-circuit powerline crossing of Kootenay Lake, which was originally operated with 170 kV, but uses today 69 kV.
This span is with a length of 3421 metres the longest powerline span in North America.
The terminus consist of 3 towers, whereby each conductor is supported by its own tower. This tower triple was built as replacement for a large tower close to the eastern shore of Kootenay Lake, which was destroyed in 1962 at a terroristic bombing
