Significantly damaged by catastrophic fire on June 14, 2017 which resulted in a heavy death toll. Current speculation is fire spread quickly at a uncontrollable rate due to the use of highly combustible polyethylene (PE) core aluminum composite cladding panels installed during the 2016 renovation.
