Description - The abbey originally had a 131 meter tall spire, which became at its completion in 1180 the tallest church spire in Europe.
- The spire was destroyed during a storm around 1500, while a western tower collapsed in 1550. Neither were rebuilt, and the damage to the church leaves less than have of it remaining, today.
