Description - The church has suffered fires over it's history. The pinnacle of the spire was replaced after a fire in 1816. The pinnacle was again destroyed by fire in 1884, but rebuilt to a height of 100 meters in 1888. Finally, it was destroyed once again in 1943 during World War II, and constructed back to a lower height.
