• Tallest building in Tokyo and Japan

• Third-tallest structure in Tokyo, surpassed only by Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower (height to tip); the Mori JP Tower nonetheless has a higher top floor than Tokyo Tower

• First supertall building completed in Tokyo

• It boasts a large gross floor area, placing it among the world's largest skyscrapers by floor area

• Sky Lobby is located on the 33rd and 34th floors

• "Mori" refers to Mori Building (Mori Building Co., Ltd.), a major real estate developer and property management firm; its founder, Taikichiro Mori, was once the richest man in the world, according to Forbes; Mori Building's logo can be seen on several skyscrapers in Minato; the word "mori" also means "forest" in Japanese, possibly creating a thematic connection with the greenery incorporated into the Azabudai Hills complex

• The "JP" in the building's name stands for Japan Post (Japan Post Co., Ltd.); the Japan Post Group mainly operates in postal services, banking, and insurance; the skyscraper replaced an older Japan Post building that once stood on the site

• Mori Building lists the Mori JP Tower at approximately 330 meters (1,083 ft) tall; however, the notice of construction posted at the construction site listed a height of 325.49 meters (1,068 ft), while skyscrapercenter.com lists it at 327.2 meters (1,073 ft). Google Earth measurements suggest that the figure of 325.49 meters corresponds to the building's crown (the four elevated corners at the top, or the "curved glass petals", as described by Pelli Clarke & Partners), with 327.2 meters closely matching the building's highest point, toward the center of the roof

• Aman Residences consists of 91 managed residences on the uppermost floors; these are the highest residential floors in Japan, as of 2026

• This building has 64 floors above ground + 2 penthouse floors
