Description Three GE 3.4-137 wind turbines, each with a rotor diametre of 137 metres and a generation capacity of 3.4 MW. These wind turbines, which were the tallest of the world from autumn 2017 to autumn 2019, stand on a 40 metres tall base, which houses a water tank for a pump storage power plant. If the wind turbines produce more power than required, the surplus energy can be used to fill these tanks. At times of high electricity demand or when no wind is blowing the water of these tanks can be used to generate electricity in a hydroelectric power plant with a maximum generation capacity of 16 MW, which is situated south of Gaildorf.
