Description
- Owner/Developer: ITA

- Engineer: BICC

- Manufacturer: EMI

- The mast collapsed on 19th March 1969, after ice build up caused a guy cable to break.

- When built it was the 2nd tallest structure in Europe.

- This mast replaced the first transmitter tower, Emley Moor Mk. 1, built in 1956.

- This mast was replaced by the 330m (1083 ft) self-supporting TV tower completed in 1970.
