Zeewolde is a town and municipality located on a polder in the central part of the Netherlands with Wolderwijd Lake to the east, Horsterwold woods to the south, and farmland to the west. It was formed in 1984, making it one of the younger municipalities in the county.
In the surrounding area of Zeewolde are numerous wind farms and transmitter sites.
