• The tower is an important FM- and TV-broadcasting
tower for Erfurt region, but is situated outside the city nearby. The tower was not used for TV-broadcasting before introduction of DVB-T. At introduction of DVB-T the tower got a new antenna at its top and its height grew to actual value.
