Description
This mast, which was until 2005 165 m tall. Until that year it stood together with two other masts, one of similar height and the other 171 m tall. They formed a triangular antenna used for military longwave transmission by the German Navy.

This transmitter had the callsign "DHJ59". The name of the callsign is also used as designation of "Marinefunksendestelle Neuharlingersiel".

In 2004/2005, the longwave operation at Marinefunksendestelle Neuharlingersiel was shut-down. The 171 m and one of the 165 m masts were dismantled. The remaining 165 m mast was shortened to 164 metres afterwards.

Today it carries a vertical log-periodic antenna for military shortwave communication spun between the mast and an anchor point on the ground.

On the area of Marinefunksendestelle Neuharlingersiel, there are further smaller radio towers of unknown height used for military shortwave communication.
