- Tower Testing Station Mannheim is a facility for testing static properties of electricity pylons. A pylon is built up on the test bed. From the two towers, which form with the test bed an angle of 90 degrees, ropes are pulled toward the pylon, and then via winches pushing forces are put on the pylon in he test bed. Its reaction toward this forces are registred.
