• Architects (renovation): Martin Holtzer, Danny Vandewalle, Lutgart Coryn & Eric Bockaert.

• In 1997 the building was renovated. Two extra floors and two extra wings were added.

• The building has a 30 meter tall communication mast on its roof.

• Named after the industrial Lieven Bauwens (born in Ghent) who started the industrial revolution in Belgium by stealing a 'mule Jenny' spinning machine out of England.
