Description
Architect: Manuel Salgado

Capacity: 50,033 seats

UEFA Stadium Category: 4 (highest of four categories)

Home team: FC Porto

First match: FC Porto 2-0 FC Barcelona (Lionel Messi's debut)
(November 16, 2003)

UEFA Euro 2004 and 2019 UEFA Nations League venue.

The stadium hosted the 2019 UEFA Nations League final, as well as the 2021 UEFA Champions League final. It is expected to be one of the venues for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Besides being the home ground of Porto, it also occasionally hosts home games of the Portuguese National Football Team (Seleção Portuguesa de Futebol).

Renovation work will be carried out between 2025/2026 and 2026/2027.

The current stadium was built right next to the site of the old Estádio das Antas, which once had an official capacity of 95,000.

The heights shown above correspond to measurements from the pitch/field to the top of the roof and to the highest point of the two arches. If measured from the northwest side (outside the stadium), its heights are approximately 35 meters (115 ft) and 41 meters (131 ft); however, from the southeast it's around 55 meters (180 ft) and 61 meters (197 ft) tall, due to differences in terrain elevation.
