I'm sure the City of Columbus would gladly let me build on this parcel of land free-of-charge, however it's in a FEMA AE/100 Year Flood plain zone. The question is can you even build a Skyscraper in one of those zones? I've never heard of it, but the site is a prime real-estate location (and I'm building up, right?)
What I want to do is either copy the design plans from the Singapore CE LA VI, or design something similar and build it overlooking the (Downtown) Columbus Skyline on this plot of land.
I envision having one tower for Condo's, another Tower for a Hotel (Ritz Carlton?), and the 3rd Tower for Apartments. Then place a 5-Star "Rooftop Casino" on top.
So I "just do it" huh?
Edit: If option 1 doesn't workout, I'd like to build on this site downstream as option 2. That said, as I see it there's just not a lot of square footage for parking on this parcel of land. Plus access is a bit of a challenge, at least at the moment.
