Haven't seen these either. This street level interaction looks great. We need more stuff like this everywhere in the city.

Steak and Italian restaurants will do very well in the area. Nearby Hudson Grille is always packed.

Also it’s a miracle what not having 8 floors of parking can do for the look and feel of a building… I wonder if anyone has ever thought of this, because Atlanta developers certainly haven’t lol

Oh, they've thought about it a lot, and they've also weighed the costs. Atlanta's spine rests on solid granite, so the added cost of blasting and clearing rock for underground parking makes above-grade parking more cost effective for private developers (i.e. those who can't forcibly take money from taxpayers).

New, above-grade developments like Atlantic Station and The Gulch offer a convenient alternative, where parking decks can be built above ground but below the raised street grid.

I guess I am okay with this type of building (luxury, large retail spaces) right next to the stadium. But I hope the rest of centennial yards is built more like a neighborhood.

Centennial Yards has their own branded pods (or at least pod) for some reason.

Looks like a ton of work at the ground level dealing with the existing infrastructure. Excited that the apartment portion has reach the viaduct and soon we are going to get some height!

The additional people routinely between here and five points will be great. Same with extra customers for Castleberry Hill.

They had more foundational work for the condos; they put a retainer wall next to the rail track. They are building something across from the fire station. I think that's where the pod comes in.

MLK blocked off on both sides.

R.B. Russell plaza: This expanse of sterile concrete has always bugged me (worse than 17th St Bridge). Hope with Centennial Yards something will be done to "dress" this up.

Thank you for the update. Looks like they haven't touched the hotel in a while and are focusing their efforts on the apartment tower. Also, agree about the Russell building. It could really, really use some new landscaping in the way it meets the street.

Moving above street/Stadium level on condo. Hotel seems still lagging behind.

The hotel and apartment towers are progressing at the same rate. The apartment tower literally had a 6-8 week headstart..
