Texas has a GDP larger than Canada, despite 9 million fewer people, and a debt to GDP ratio 40% that of Ontario. I know which jurisdiction I'd chose if I was an investor.
Canada now 17th in terms of GDP (PPP) per capita. Despite our immense natural resources this country is below countries such as Ireland, The Netherlands, Sweden, Austria and Denmark. Canada's GDP (PPP) per capita is now just 79% of the USA and has slipped well below Australia's.
Very, very poorly governed and with forecast economic growth in 2020-21 barely above the rate of (artificial and unsustainable) population growth. Essentially a no growth economy.
