The odd well positioned project is still doing fine, but yeah, all is not well.

Will it fully recover if interest rates drop? Maybe. I certainly expect it to uptick a bit. Some projects may come back as rental for which incentives have drastically improved.

But I think the question of how much of an interest rate drop is necessary is open. I don't think a 50 basis point drop will bring back the boom, but 100 points will certainly lubricate sales.

But there lots of other intermingling factors. As it stands, I would expect some market acceleration by fall, subject to at least 2 interest rate cuts.

But its a wait and see thing right now.
Thank you for the detailed reply.

A wooden hybrid tower, here are the details: https://www.skyscrapercenter.com/bui...er-tower/41784

Its 444 metres to the tip of the spires, and 400m to the roof. 105 floors, but its a vision, not real...

I wanted to show the scale against some normal sized buildings.

I like the austere stylishness of the 2346 Yonge proposal.

Oh ok. Yeah I knew it couldn't be a real proposal or I would have heard something about it before now.

Quayside | 242.5m | 72s | Dream l Masterplan and Zoning resubmission

Resubmitted for zoning approval.

Nice to see this amazing, towering district on the eastern waterfront move a step closer. There are 5 towers in the master-plan @ 242.5m, 238m, 228m, 197m and 188m, along with the 44m tall, block long Timber House. A 6th tower (see below) is privately held and listed @ 186m. The mix for Quayside is affordable rental, market-rate rental, condo, commercial (office, retail) and public space / park.
