This is the one proposed next to Tesla. It was originally called Pura Vida and include 400acres of MUD. It’s still active on the developers website with a mention of a 2023 start, but nothing further since…

Easton Park is opening a brand new, "Skyline Park" this Saturday. I'll be there and I hope to see some of you!

It seriously has AMAZING views of downtown and has a mini Pennybacker Bridge

Twin Oaks

Quote:
300,000 SF Residential
550,000S SF Office
25,000 SF Retail

Located at a high-profile intersection in Austin, Texas, the parcel has served as a strip commercial center since the 1950s. The redevelopment will transform the site into a series of courtyard buildings with a new network of streets and sidewalks that break up the scale of the site. The site perimeter will include significant public setbacks with gathering spaces and landscaping to complement the retail, residential and workplace uses proposed. A number of existing live oak trees will be relocated to new feature locations within the site.

A store that I go to in Brodie Oaks informed me that they will be moving to a new location this summer so the clear out continues. I'm assuming the other stores including Freebergs will also be moving.

That's his art piece?!?! Oh my god. I love how it looks at night. Tell him it's a perfect piece for the community in Easton Park!

I shop at that Sprouts. Long-time checker told me their lease got renewed through the end of March 2025. Also, I'm friends with one of the shopping center security guys and he said Olive Garden's lease wasn't up until 2027, but that's where the Community Foundation housing is supposed to go. Pretty much all the rest of the stores should be closed by the end of the year.

Council approves 90-foot building for South Congress neighborhood

Quote:
Facing a valid petition from the neighborhood, City Council provided the bare minimum of nine votes to approve zoning changes in the South Congress and Red Bird Lane neighborhood last week that will allow for development of 90-foot, 275-unit apartment complex as well as several thousand feet of retail space.

Council Member Mackenzie Kelly voted no and Council Member Alison Alter was off the dais.

According to the staff report, the developer “is proposing a development that would consist of approximately 250 multifamily units and 9600 square feet of ground floor, pedestrian oriented uses and intends to participate in the DB90 combining district density bonus program.” The project appears to be the first to utilize the new density bonus program.
