So it looks like Winnipeg will push us to 7 Million cities by 2031, and QC will probably push us to 8 by 36's census.
Hamilton isn't that far behind QC, so we might see 9 Million cities by 2036 (not sure how its growth is overall)
The 10th biggest city at the moment seems to be Kitchener, but they're almost 200k off of Hamilton, so we're not likely to see 10 Million cities in Canada until the 2050's at best. (London is a further 50k off of Kitchener but might tip 1M around when KWCG goes over).
That does mean that Ontario's on track to have 5 (well 4.75) of the 11 "Million pop" cities in Canada by the middle of the century. And while it's borderline, there is probably just enough distance between London, KWCG, Hamilton and Toronto for them to maintain their distinctiveness, even at those sizes.
