At least the backside isn't as bad as 'Marriot Wish.com' on Rideau. I still can't believe the side facing Parliament and the Byward Market has become one of the greatest offences committed on the public realm in this city's history.

The back actually isn't all that bad as it nears completion, in my opinion.

Better than the design of quite a few other towers.

The ground floor seems very well done. Too bad there's no retail space in this one.

Looking forward to seeing the front facade finished with that copper trim, I think it’ll look really sharp and will complement the stone and dark window mullions well. Retail would have been nice, maybe even a destination restaurant to attract people to this part of sparks.

I can't see that combo given it's a retirement home. It would already have a restaurant built in for the residents and maybe their own little tuck shop.

Brigil tower at 460 St.Laurent overlooking Notre-Dame Cemetery has the roof top restaurant accessible to the public. Would be great if they could do the same.

That finish cladding is not the bronze/copper we were promised, but still looks promising.

True, very different building from the rear. At least it has windows?

The front is nice but I really like the rear of the building. Very spartan basic look that plays out very well. Less materials is more?

That's a good way of looking at it.

First photo showing the podium out of alignment with the upper building is quite interesting. Makes it look like the upper section of the building is supposed to turn . Now wouldn't that be cool!
