As an Eskimos fan I'm pulling for the Bombers. Not a huge fan of some of the players on the Cats.

Go Bombers!

According to Ed Willes, the Aquilini family may be back in the running to buy the Lions from David Braley. Willes says representatives of the Aquilinis have had informal talks with the Lions, which is about as much as anyone is saying.
The family, according to sources, aren’t ardent pursuers of the Lions but their interest seems to be rising as the price tag deflates. They like the synergies the Lions would create with their other sports brands — including the Canucks, the NLL’s Warriors and the Titans of the Overwatch League.

The Aquilinis have seen this arrangement work well with the Calgary Flames and Calgary Stampeders — less so with the Argos and the Leafs in Toronto. They’ve also been in an acquisitive way lately, adding a franchise in the eSports Call of Duty league to their holdings. I knew if I lived long enough I’d get to type that sentence.

As to what kind of owners they’d be, well, they’re local, they’d pay the bills and they’d invest more in promoting the team than Braley, which wouldn’t be hard.

So is their interest a real thing? At the risk of repeating ourselves that’s difficult to know. They wouldn’t be Braley’s first choice to take over his baby — and make no mistake Braley is emotionally invested in the Lions. With a contract extension for GM Ed Hervey and the decision to fire head coach DeVone Claybrooks, he’s also acting like he might be around for a while.
Ed Willes: Lions still for sale, but owners won't break bank to buy Braley's baby

Bizarre at Owens Landing in Calgary tonight. More Winnipeg fans than Hamilton fans given the Jets game on TV. Perhaps the balance will pick up now that the hockey game is over and the Tiger-Cats are next door.

Really looking forward to this game.
In a one strange way it's more enjoyable when your team isn't in it - no stress!
Enjoy the game folks 🍻

Witnessing the GC festivals both last year in Edmonton and this year in Calgary I can say it probably does more for national unity than anything else save for possibly Olympic hockey games.
Love it!

I was at the Eastern Final last Sunday. I saw some sweet old grandmother wearing this thing below. Lots of colourful people in Hamilton.

One of Nenshi's points in speaking at the festival yesterday was that in some countries, fans from rival teams need to be physically separated from each other. Here, fans from all teams (and even a future team) come together to have a good time.

My goodness, the product I’m seeing on TV is absolute garbage.

There is still soccer lines on the field (they couldn’t paint over it?), seeing the ticats enter the field with ripped tarp in the background, I could go on. It’s the small things...

Thank goodness we won’t see another grey cup at the Calgary dump. And thankfully the next two are in newer stadiums with teams that actually care about their product.

Agree that the production value doesn't seem to be there but I tuned in for the football.

Halftime show looks fantastic considering they had 10 minutes to set it up. I'm not even a country music fan but that may be one of the great half time shows, all things considered ie set, performance, staging, blocking, direction. I bet a lot of people will tune in to see it.

I was having a problem streaming with Firefox, switched to Chrome and no problem.
