Thanks for nothing, Lions...

Although I guess it was asking a bit much for a 5-12 team to upset an 11-6 team coming off a loss.

Haha ya I think we are now a perfect 0-10 against the West!

Gotta loves the CFLs.

So Rick Campbell is rumoured to be getting the axe... I guess even winning the Grey Cup doesn't earn him the kind of bulletproof Teamsters union style job security that O'Shea gets here in Winnipeg.

I wonder if Claybrooks will get a second chance in BC?

He quit, apparently.

O’Shea is a great coach who has led the team back to respectability ... the only way he’ll leave is if Toronto offers him something.

^ I didn't know Campbell quit when I wrote my earlier post... the rumour mill is suggesting that he's heading to Edmonton?!

Not sure that he was the main problem and that they will be a stronger team without him.

Agreed 100%. I'd happily take him in Winnipeg but all the pundits are saying he's Edmonton bound.

Riders' last home game was 4K short of a sell-out. I wonder why. Perhaps people opted for tickets to the Heritage Classic instead?

A combination of cold weather at this time of year and pricy tickets would be my guess. It's easy to justify sitting home and watching on TV... You stay warm and keep a hundred bucks or whatever in your pocket

Well that didn't last long... the coaching carousel is going to be real interesting this off season.

https://www.cfl.ca/2019/11/06/lions-...ne-claybrooks/

2 losses this weekend could see Edmonton and Winnipeg without coaches.

I'll be really surprised if Jones and Montreal don't come to terms, it just seems like their building something that could be special for a few seasons.

^ Not surprised to see Claybrooks get the axe.

If the Bombers lose in the semi I could see O'Shea getting fired in Winnipeg too. This is not the NHL, just being happy to make the first round of the playoffs is not good enough. He's had enough chances to get it right. Obviously the situation changes if the team happens to make it into the Grey Cup

I'd give my eye-teeth for Khari... I loved him as a QB and I'm not at all surprised to see the success he's been enjoying in Montreal.

BC has a bad locker room and needs to get rid of lazy divas like Duron Carter. Also will be tough for BC to rebuild with so much money tied up to an aging and beat up Mike Reilly for $800 grand a year.

B.C. definitely seemed like they should have been better.

It's not just Claybrooks that was inexperienced (and the sideways hat thing was just stupid), it was the whole coaching staff that Claybrooks brought in that was super inexperienced.

I am getting a real nice quiet confidence with this Bomber team. They were very close in all 3 games with Calgary this year winning 2 of them, we were very close in our 2 losses in Regina with Strev as QB. Harris looks really hungry to prove himself right now and Collaros really wants to show he can still be a starter in this league and get a new contract in the winter. Anything can happen in the CFL but hopefully the football gods will finally smile on Peg-City this November.

Playoff weekend is here! Get hype!

Just kidding, no one in Winnipeg is hyped for the playoffs besides the Bombers social media feeds. There seems to be just an air of resignation over the Bombers playoff chances.

But the funny thing is that I think they match up well against Calgary... the Bombers have played the Stamps well and if Collaros can hit even 200 yards passing while keeping the turnovers to a minimum, I wouldn't be shocked if there was an upset at McMahon this Sunday. Fingers crossed.
