That last one is lovely. Is that genuinely a pale blue colour or just the lighting? I love it if it's the colour.

I have to go into Notre-Dame stoned one day. Looks like it would quite the experience.

Tried that. The clerk asked me to pay my entry. I awkwardly wobbled outside.

This is Plymouth Trinity church in downtown Sherbrooke, the city's oldest intact church (it's from the 1850s).

The colour combination and it's too ornate. Like troweling make-up on Mila Kunis.

It's as if the Church's vision of beauty is this..

Yeah, me too. While the colours in Notre Dame are breathtaking, the overall effect seems to be slightly gloomy, like a moonlit night or something. The brighter and lighter interior seems much more pleasant to me.

You're right. I've been there and I never got that over the top technicolor impression until these photographs came up.

I do like the Longueuil church a lot though.
