It's grown since I last posted the previous mention of a "re-bar column form". It now looks like the cement pumper? Are they ready for that major pour? I predict it will be Friday night, when they usually do large pours. (NO Traffic, or minimal amount of traffic.) Make room for all of those cement trucks!
The shape of this building along with the glass facade makes me wonder about the possibilities of causing a sunlight nuisance or sunlight hazard at certain times of the year.
I absolutely love this building, I'm just wondering out loud.

I noticed the concrete pump on my way home on the train the other day. A sure sign that they are pouring (or soon will be) the residential floors. There is supposed be an AKA extended stay facility in this building. There is already one near Rittenhouse and I was near the Franklin at 9th and Chestnut and I saw signs that there will be an AKA in that building as well.

FMC may reflect the sun directly onto the Schuylkill, heating the water and killing all aquatic life...
Or it may just beam a laser of death onto random neighborhoods.
The truss system is about 75% installed. The final quarter - the northwest corner of the building - is currently being worked on. It's really amazing how long it took to build this transfer portion. You'd imagine within 2 weeks or so we'll see vertical expansion once again.

Good to know! I came here because it looked like it may have been capped out, and I thought maybe they abandoned the hotel component. That was about to be a huge disappointment as it still has about a third of the way to go!

Looks pretty nice. Ceilings look somewhat low and windows are a little busy with the cross-bracing and bars obstructing the view. But as an extended stay hotel and not condos, it should do just fine.
