ITALIA (5) Siena: Under a Tuscan Sun

My last thread from my trip to Italy covers the beautiful city of Siena. It follows on from Bologna, Florence and Chianti (1) and (2)

I absolutely loved Siena, I could live there actually! It is a smallish, walled, medieval city, with its grand cathedral and towers dominating the skyline. The city oozes history and culture, it is a labyrinth of narrow lanes and atmospheric rooftops. Without further ado....

Awesome. I don't even remember having ever seen the local medieval alleys captured this properly in pictures. It feels good like in a warm cocoon in there, right? Truly a real good feeling lol.

Lovely medieval city! Siena is really beautiful. Love its cathedral and alleys. The main square is awesome too. And besides, it´s a gastronomic paradise.

Enjoyed this tour a lot. Thanks for sharing.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

Stunning! I love seeing European cities that are off the usual tourist radar. Siena is not automatically thought of as a must-see destination in Italy, and that's why I love it so much.
