Damn I Miss Oakland California

It's been too long... Far too long.

I don't have an address in Oakland anymore (and haven't for a little over a year). It took a while for the reality of that to sink in and especially while I adjusted to going to school and living in San Francisco, a city so very different from Oakland in more ways than I currently care to elaborate on. I love the City and definitely love living there but there truly is nothing like the Town.

This is the first set of three or four I'm trying to knock out this winter on Oakland. This set focuses on Eastlake (namely Funktown and the Dubs), the part of town I spent the most time in while growing up in East Oakland. There's also some Downtown and Fruitvale shots thrown in.

Damn I miss Oakland.

That first photo, wow! One of the best dual skyline photos I've seen of Oakland and San Francisco. Awesome photog skills!

Beautiful return to Oakland, Nineties! Thanks for the tour.

Amazing pictures of daily life in Oakland. It is not strange you miss Oakland and its character. I agree that the first picture of San Francisco´s and Oakland´s skylines is spectacular.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

If ever there was a tale of two cities, it's San Fran and Oakland. Homesickness gets us all sometimes. I'm just glad your home's just a BART ride away. Keep rocking your hometown.

People generally do their best work in their hometown. This is no exception.
