Definitely much better appearance than the previous development.

Minus the hotel component, it appears the concept is similar to the original Houston Pavillions. What will be different in order to avoid a similar fate as Houston Pavillions?

I have my doubts it will look quite as colorful when done, but it would be interesting if they managed to achieve something that looks like that. Miami has that kind of color.

So they are tearing down part of the pavilions for this? The pavilions was one of the dumbest developments, why they didn't have the foresight to put the shops facing the street instead of that odd inner alleyway is beyond me. It doesn't even feel like you're downtown but instead some ex urban outlet mall.
