Short Stop in Griffin, Georgia

I passed by Griffin , Georgia in November and spent a short time walking the downtown area. Griffin (pop ~ 24,000) is the seat of Spalding County (pop~ 64,000) and is located off I-75 about 35 miles from Atlanta. It is in the Atlanta metro. It's a nice smaller city with quite a bit of vehicular traffic in the downtown. Not too many pictures, but hopefully you'll get a feel for the place.

Griffin is nice too. Thanks for your thread, Ex-Ithacan!

You made a lovely tour along Georgia, yes. Those towns are worth to stop by and taking pictures, as you did.

Happy New Year and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

Looks like a nice little place. That courthouse looks kind of strange and office-y.

Fantastic pictures! Thanks for sharing them with us.

City has great bones. I wasn't really sure but it seemed like a lot of the storefronts were a bit sad looking though. What were the businesses like? Most importantly...did you eat there?
