Rouen is a city of 114,000 inhabitants proper and 520,000 for the metropolitan area in northwestern France on the River Seine. It is biggest city of Normandy.
Rouen is the capital of Haute-Normandie region and Seine-Maritime département.

Love the thread. Great job. I like that you weren't afraid to show some pedestrian unfreindly areas...and you get a good feel of the area. It looks so crammed in, but in a good way. Nice work, I liked it a lot!

Great tour! I drove through Roen earlier this year, and it looked like a very gritty/sexy city, with industrial/60s buildings right up against historic ones, and lots of young people zipping around on scooters. Great to see it close up!

Great thread for one of my favorites cities in France, though I don't like all this snow! I'm used to it here, so I can make it without the snow when I go to France, especially Normandy...!

Jeanne-D'Arc was burnt right behind the building in the back in this pic:

I was gonna say, isn't this the city where Joan of Arc got burned at the stake? I love it! If there were an organized European Saints Death Tour I would totally take it.

Great pics, Minato Ku. I would love to visit this city some time.
