Chicago in July

I stayed at Hotel Intercontinental (building with yellow dome on top) on Mag Mile just north of the river, across the street from North Bridge Mall (Nordstrom & Conrad Hilton).

Nice first post. I like the close up detail that you got. When did you go and where from?

The photographs are taken from unique angles. Attentive care is noted. Fantastic architectural nuances are visible on quite a few of these photographs. The sequence displays a gradation of colors, consistency and textures. Good job! A connoisseur of Chicago.

Unless these are from July 2008 there hasn't been a Sunday yet.

But the holiday Friday when everyone took off work and skipped town was probably just as still during the day, no?

It's a small world. I was at the same hotel on Sunday. I stayed in the other tower though, not the historic one so I didn't have any view to speak of.

Great close-ups.

I took most of the pictures early morning on Friday July 3rd, that would be yesterday. According to the Wrigley Building clock tower, I took that picture at exactly 8:27 am. Gotta love Chicago!!
