Washington D.C. - Monuments and Cherry Blossoms

I had a day trip to D.C. yesterday. After a cold and windy start, it got to be a great day to enjoy the Cherry Blossom Festival, Parade, and Japanese Festival.

Nice pics. I love the cherry blossoms around the Mall and Tidal Basin but the throngs of tourists are just too much for me. I took a spin around the neighborhoods of upper-northwest DC yesterday though..there are tons of cherry trees scattered around if you know where to look...and no crowds

Nice to see some photos from the festival! Looks like it was a decent day to be out & about, despite somewhat windy conditions. And today looks even better. Wish I was there rather right now than here where it's been a struggle to get much above 40.

Can't get enough of DC (hopefully my future home). Looks like it was a nice day out, but a bit chilly. Great shots!
