The Crescent City, La Nouvelle-Orléans, a NOLA trip (part 1)

I just got back from New Orleans and the city far outweighed my expectations. It has some of the most raw urbanity I've seen in the south. Many areas remind me of other places(in the country and the world), but at the same time, it's all very distinctive, very... New Orleans. I was originally going to break up my NOLA threads based on uptown/downtown, but everything is mixed up, so I'll just post it how it is.

(I know a lot of this stuff is touristy, but... I was a tourist )

Man I love that city! Awesome job on the shots.

BTW, what type of lens did you use on some of those wide shots?

Great photos sabotai

BTW, very interesting article on New Orleans by Andres Duany... a perspective I had never thought of... I highly recommend taking a look if you are interested in the culture and rebuilding of NO.

Very nice photos, the more I see photos of New Orleans the more I ask myself why I never had this city on my top list of cities in the US to visit.

I also just found out, NOLA can be quite expensive to buy a nice loft or condo in the city. I was watching House Hunters (yeah I'm ashame to admit it, but hooked on those home selling, and home remodeling/decorating shows. It give me some ideals on my doing things in my own condo).

Anyway as I was saying I watching this episode in New Orleans, and the units they were showing this client were a bit more expensive than I would have imagine for this city.
