San Diego-a-Go-Go

Sights and sounds from all over the metro area, in no particular order and without commentary. Enjoy!

Thanks for looking...

Best SD thread ever! I used to go to San Diego at least once a year when I lived in Phoenix. I miss it, especially after seeing photos like these!

Great pictures!! Especially the ones with the snow capped mountains. Were those pics taken this winter or last winter when we had that freak storm that dropped the snow level really low?

Wow, what a great thread. I've never seen such as extensive tour of San Diego on this forum, you really covered a lot. The city/metro never look so beautiful. San Diego for sure is California Dreaming.

BTW whats up with the nude guy on the beach or shall I say the one showing his buns lol ?
Everyone else is clothed, so was it clothing optional or what.

One of the greatest posts I have ever seen. It helped me deal with seeing the results of our ice storm last night.

Wow, very nice tour! You've done a great job of sharing what those of us who live here already know, San Diego is paradise.

ChrisLA,

That naked guy is on Blacks Beach. It is technically not a legal nude beach, but it is known for being a "clothing optional" area. Mainly because it is somewhat of a private stretch under the cliffs of Torrey Pines.

Wow, thanks for the great responses! Just wanted to say that all of the photos were taken during the past year. Had them sitting in my photobucket so I thought I share them with you all.

Those are from last winter (Feb 2008) when the snow level dropped to 1,500 feet. Taken from the 15 freeway at the Scripps Poway freeway exit on my way to work. And speaking of snow, the other pics showing people playing in it were taken last weekend. What's great is that it's only a 45 minute drive away from my house. The beach, on the other hand, is just 12 minutes away in the opposite direction.

Those were taken at Black's Beach, which is swimsuit optional, which is just north of La Jolla.

Beautiful shots. Not much of it looks familiar to me. Thanks for getting me warmed for a return trip this summer.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a San Diego thread quite as good as this one! Just about every scene was beautiful.
