Great pictures, but how can they be Paris INNER suburbs if they are OUTSIDE the Peripherique beltway?

Peripherique is the inner city beltway, Paris has three beltways.

  • 75 : inner city - 2,181,371 inh
  • 92, 93, 94 : inner suburbs - 4,326,410 inh
  • 77, 78, 91, 95 : outer suburbs and exuburbs - 5,024,617 inh (even if much of these areas aren't urbanised, most people live inside Paris urban area)

Great pics, thanks you: And very different to central Paris.

Some of areas with mixes of tower blocks, flats and "high street" commercial areas remind me an awful lot of dare i say it, London.

It is the Boulevard Peripherique in Porte Maillot, just next to Avenue Charles de Gaulle.

The more I see of this, the more I like.

The inner city Paris has a fantastical, montonous, museum-like quality to it, but this puts in more of a "real" setting IMO. Maybe because it seems more relatable.
