Saint Etienne is a city of 175 700 inhabitants and over 320,000 for the metropolitan area.
This city is located in Rhone Alpes region, capital of Loire departement in Central eastern France.

I only had 20 minutes in this city, I really did a fast visit.

I missed this thread the first time around. S:t Etienne looks bigger than the population numbers suggest - even by European standards.

SAINT ETIENNE: 1) a charming mid-size French city 2) my favorite all-time Europop musical band. I've always wondered what their namesake city looked like.
