Question Sunrise on the Bay

This morning's sunrise was just spectacular. I had to stop and get a couple of shots of it.

Thank you for sharing. Hardly ever get to witness a sight like that.

In a sunset, much more of the sky is red. Sunrise, for a person who normally wakes up late, is thus a very unique event.

I was never a morning person, but now find myself in the city before sunrise almost every day. At least mother nature provides some benefit to that. Glad you guys enjoyed it as much as me.

That is gorgeous! The pier in your picture is a place I spent some time during my visit to San Francisco. I miss it- hanging out with the lovely Bay Bridge when I wanted some quiet time.

As for Bay Bridge, she's a beautiful sight with her necklace lighting on after dark.
I've been known to playfully call such lighting "Suspension bridge bling", which seems quite accurate. If what I have read is correct, that cable lighting was the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge's 50th birthday present- installed in 1986.

That's what I thought. The perspective looks like it might have been the berth where the Vallejo ferries come in, which is why I asked. Must be the next one over, with the offices and public promenade.
