Question -

I was in Marseilles about 4 years ago. Fell in love with the city. Also visited relatives there. They were constantly warning us to be very careful, especially in certain parts of the city. We never had any problems - of course one of us spoke perfect French.

Anyway is Marseilles a fairly safe city or do you think its a safe city?? Again I loved it, never had any problems - but didnt spend much time there though.

Enjoyed the whole series, thanks. I really like these big and old port cities like Marseille.

Nice pictures. I've never been into Marseille really - I've used the airport, and I've driven through the city. But you generally take a tunnel that bypasses most of the old part of the city, so you only see the (typically) unimpressive French suburbia around it.

Me too I didn't liked the separation between the two.

ctman987 : The crime rate in Cannes or Nice are higher than in Marseille and crime can be really violent in Nice.
Marseille is a great city, nobody should miss it when he visit southern France.
