We exit the french Alps for Valence, a city of 67,000 inhabitants (130,000 in the metropolitan area) located in the Rhone Valley.

IT looks quite creepy and run down! But one thing I always appreciated with Europe is that even the smaller cities have great consistent architecture and street life where in NA smaller cities usually tend to be younger and boring.

Lovely, I can't get enough of those narrow cafe lined streets and splendid residential buildings!

I'm not entirely sure what Rico is talking about either, it doesn't look remotely creepy or run down to me - looks like a charming, thriving French town.
