Yes, houses from this era are predominantly brick in south-central Ontario. The house below is the only wooden Victorian house I can recall seeing in Hamilton, where nearly everything is brick. You see a lot more wood houses in extreme Southwestern Ontario. My hometown of Wallaceburg, for example, has very few old brick houses. However, Wallaceburg's downtown commercial buildings and old industrial buildings are generally brick. You can also see some nice wooden Victorians in my Sarnia thread.
