Right next to the site of an old dump and incinerator, not to mention a small African Canadian community.

Long Overdue

I've wondered for years how long its going to take for something like this to happen. Eventually I hope Ivanhoe Cambridge would allow a few towers connected to the mall. This type of format of mall has to change with Dartmouth Crossing next door. It should play to its strength and allow it to become more a part of the locals day to day services instead of being a destination. I'd even hope if it did a large scale entertainment venue like a Dave and Busters.

This project has changed. New plans are for one 15-storey (47 metre), 148 unit building on the northern end of the property.

The CMHC funding is a big piece of this. It's nice to see another new building come in with potentially affordable units in a decent location.

A short three months after approval this project now has its construction permit issued. It's listed as a $22 million, 148-unit, 15-storey multi-unit dwelling.

According to signage on site this will be called King's Grove - The Terraces and will be completed in Summer 2022.

A construction permit has been issued for this complex for;

KING'S GROVE III - 12 STOREYS - 85 UNITS - $12.3 M

This must be allowed as-of-right under the Centre Plan because it's not shown the in the original DA. I can't find any renderings or other information.
