great to see this part of paris. it has a raw hustler vitality lacking in the more genteel parts of the city.

i'm curious, minato, do you ever get yelled at for taking photos? i don't know if people just didn't like my face, but i got more angry reactions in paris than anywhere else i've ever been.

Don't worry about this, in Paris the oposite would be curious.

Yeah I didn't noticed anyone giving me an angry look, but I suspect as you said more curious. I noticed they do stare, but not in a rude or prolong manner, but more I saw as curious.

Still that guy in the first photo on the metro looked so of mean. I wanted to take pictures on the metro so bad but was afraid. I did noticed photographing was done very freely in Paris. There didn't seem to be many restricted areas such as in the USA, and or in the UK.

Oh I loved those new trains the metro has heading out to La Defense. I've never seen subway cars they are open the entire lenght of the train. It was cool to look through the train to see almost to the other end. I lke the fact there are no doors to cross over to the next car. You should take a picture of that, because it is something unusual most of of don't see on our rail cars.

Minato Ku, you are kind of brave. One of the guys in this photo looks very mad at you.

See the Central Paris : around avenue de l'Opera thread. In the last picture we see a MP89 of the line 14 (The same train type of the line 1 exept that there is driverless).

Actually the newest train of the line 2 (the line in this thread) have the same.

Thanks, I see I missed that thread. I think I said it before, but Paris has one of the best metro (subway, heavy rail) system I've rode on. I've never seen such frequency in service as Paris, NYC don't even service that well. The few negatives were no air condition on the trains (or at least they didn't have it on), and it stopped at just past midnight. Those are the two advanatage NYC has over it. I can't imagine how how those trains are in the summer, because I was sweating when it was only about 70 degrees the first two days.
